AIST Activities at SC24

SC-color-hor.png The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) is one of Japan's largest public research organizations, focused on bridging the gap between innovative technological developments and commercialization. AIST is organized into 7 departments and a special research center for quantum technology, bringing together core technologies that leverage a strong, multidisciplinary research environment. AIST launched the AI Bridging Cloud Infrastructure (ABCI), a publicly accessible cloud infrastructure for AI R&D, in August 2018. After six years of operation, ABCI has evolved into two successor systems. ABCI 3.0 is a next-generation Japanese national AI infrastructure designed to accelerate cutting-edge AI R&D in the era of generative AI. ABCI-Q offers a one-stop service for quantum-classical hybrid computing, facilitating the development of quantum technology applications. Please visit the AIST booth to learn more about ABCI 3.0, ABCI-Q, and AIST's latest activities in the fields of HPC, AI, and quantum computing.
